What is Majan Chronicles?

Starting from March 2022, I’ve been writing and recording a number of fun short stories with Oman FM 90.4. These stories went out on radio across Oman and were enjoyed by a good number of people. Based on the feedback, I felt like these stories should also exist in written form for people to enjoy.

Majan Chronicles is a collection of 12 short stories all about the Daily Dramas of Our Lovely Lives here in Oman. It’s a series of mundane adventures capturing different perspectives on everything from volunteering during Cyclone Shaheen to Romance in Oman, as well as passions, hobbies, and racism (of a specific type).

Why I wrote This Book

Fantasy is my one true love. Ever since writing Sarim I knew that the magic, the action, the adventures are part of what keeps me writing every day. However, I also knew that I’ve never really explored mundane lives.

Majan Chronicles is a book which directly explores the themes that make us human. I thought that writing this book would be a fun adventure, and it would also fit in with people who are not used to the intricacies and tropes of Fantasy.
